Q. What does wellness mean to you?
A. For me, wellness really speaks to health, happiness, and longevity. Being in good physical and mental shape and feeling good every day is something no one should take for granted and we should all be working to preserve. It’s a constant challenge but a challenge worth pursuing.

Q. Why are you here on this journey to create BYND WELL?
A. For me, wellness is so much more than just the physical. I’ve always been into exercise and healthy eating but a few years ago I went through a pretty transformative experience – I experienced a major loss and didn’t know how to get back to ‘the light’. That’s when I began doing real introspective work. I’m a stereotypical type-A perfectionist and over-achiever. I always thought when I got to my next goal that happiness would follow, but really I just kept reaching. Through all this work, I discovered all the tools we have within us, which is everything we really need. It was incredibly empowering to me. Everyone’s story and journey is different but that was mine. As an entrepreneur I was excited by the growth in the wellness industry as a whole and wanted to help use my work for good – to help create awareness and experiences for others so that they too might find their own power to change their life for the better!

Q. What does wellness mean to you?
A. Achieving that elusive balance in life! It’s tougher than ever with all that vies for our attention but each of us has a choice daily to make that investment back in our “well” as I like to say. I’m very mindful of the fact that when it’s brimming, I’ll be filled with enough to keep living out my passions and have plenty to give back to others.  Self-care to me is really ensuring you have the support to live out the best version of the life you want for yourself and for those you love. It also takes us cheering each other on as a community to say it’s okay to slow things down, to not let life pass us by or have to lose someone or something meaningful to get on track to taking better care of ourselves.

Q. Why are you here on this journey to create BYND WELL?
A. My mom died of heart disease when I was 25 and she was only 57.  I suffered from losing three generations of women in my family to this terrible disease so it set me on a trajectory of seeking out how I can prevent that going forward for my family and myself and I’ve never looked back. I hope to give people the same opportunity to learn and have access to tools that support their individual journeys towards better health, well-being and longevity.
